BENEFITS OF QUITTING

We all know that stopping smoking improves your physical health, but did you know it can improve your mental health too? Quitting smoking can improve your mood, and help relieve stress, anxiety and depression.

There is lots of support available which can massively increase your chances of quitting smoking completely and forever.

NHS STOP SMOKING SERVICES

You are 4 times more likely to stop smoking for good if you use a combination of treatment and support.

Regular appointments with support staff can help keep you on track and help with advice and encouragement. You can have your carbon monoxide levels measured to show you how your body is recovering and if you wish to use treatments to help with cravings and withdrawal symptoms, we can help you decide which type is best for you, and how to use it.

You can get supplies of treatments such as nicotine replacement therapy (NRT – available as patches, gum, lozenges, inhalators and sprays etc) or tablets such as Champix (varenicline) or Zyban (buproprion). NHS prescription charges/eligibility criteria apply.

Just call into the pharmacy and ask for help to quit smoking.

There is a variety of support services to help you quit, available online, face-to-face or over the phone.
